Guatemala Swiss Water Decaffeinated Coffee offers the typical taste profile of a Guatemalan coffee, but without the caffeine, so it can be enjoyed at any time of the day or evening. It is produced using the ingenious Swiss Water Decaffeination Process, a method that removes caffeine from coffee without the use of chemicals, and without losing the wonderful flavours contained in quality Arabica beans. It is a medium bodied cup with good acidity, a rich aroma, and hints of citrus and caramel.

This dark roast has a relatively high oil level, and is suitable for all brewing methods.

I didn't enjoy this coffee as much as my usual order so would not buy again.

I have got to be honest - previous orders from Coffee Direct have been excellent, but this is the first time I have ordered the decaffeinated coffee. It is sadly very acrid and bitter with the bens very dark brown. Almost undrinkable.

Coffee Direct's Guatemala Swiss Water Decaf is by far the best value Swiss Water beans we have found. As people who drink a lot of decaf, we appreciate the health benefits of not consuming a lot of Hexane that is found in chemically decaffeinated coffee. This Guatemala SW is rich and tasty, it is our go-to day to day coffee and the best decaf option out there in our opinion.

We like the idea of a non-chemical decaffeinated process but this may be at the expense of strength and flavour. We found that we need to use more beans than other varieties we tried in order to give an authentic coffee flavour. For us not worth the extra cost.

Having tried the sample packs all of which were good the Guatemalan beans were best for me, they just pipped the Colombian for taste. I have tried other suppliers but I much prefer Coffee Direct especially as I am trying to cut back on caffeine,

Delectable Decaf.

This is a fabulously flavoursome coffee, with a rich aroma that fills the kitchen when the beans are being ground in our Delonghi bean to cup coffee maker. Being Decaf, and dark roast, it has all the body of a standard coffee. Thoroughly recommended…

I’ve tried decaf beans over the years and never developed a taste for them. These are very good. I’ve been mixing them 50-50 with nepal beans for a second and 3rd cup in the morning and also enjoying a strong decaffeinated cup of coffee most late afternoons. I’ll be buying these regularly.
