This mild Kenyan coffee gets its AA+ rating based on the large sizes of the specially selected beans used: Kenyan coffee is graded by the screen size of the bean, with beans that are too large to pass through a sieve perforation measuring 18/64 of an inch designated as AA grade. Our excellent Kenyan coffee, grown in the fertile Nyeri region of Kenya, offers a strong, slightly tangy flavour that's great for filter coffees and for preparing in a cafetiere, and embodies all the characteristics of a truly great Kenyan coffee, including a full body and delicious flavours of cocoa.

Excellent service and products. The Kenya AA was a little stronger than the Kenyan Blue Mountain which I slightly prefer. It was a good alternative until the Kenyan Blue mountain becomes available again.

Good basic black coffee bean

I was looking for just a basic black coffee. This was quite good. I would recommend going towards finer grind for filter coffee maker as first few batches had slight sourness which was just due to grind, went away with finer setting.

I'm a fan of Kenyan coffeee - the AA beans are great, but I personally prefer the Peaberry beans - they seem to have a little more flavour. If you've not tried Kenyan before, it's a great coffee growing country and you should - but don't buy all my Peaberry beans !

I have been buying Kenyan

I have been buying Kenyan ground coffee for 8 years and my favourite is Sainsbury's. Passing Sainsburys one a week it was no problem. Now it is a 50 mile round trip if I need it. This coffee is very similar to it, except the drags don't come out easily. I will try the Blue Mountain next.

Great taste, not bitter (coffee should not be bitter!). I only drink coffee black with sugar, if you drink "high street" coffee this will be a revelation.
