Made from leaves that are grown in the warm, humid conditions of the Assam Valley, this strong black tea offers up rich and mature flavours. Top quality Pekoe Fannings provide added body to Assam PF, making for a perfect brew for getting you started in the morning.
Assam black teas are strong and full-bodied, displaying wonderful malty flavours and rich, complex notes, making them ideal for breakfast teas. The PF refers to Pekoe Fannings, a grading of tea that refers to the size of the dried tea leaves; "pekoe" refers to young leaves picked early in the season and "fanning" refers to the small size of the leaves.
The humid, tropical climates of the Assam region are very well-suited to tea production, with tea grown in large tea gardens and harvested by hand, typically twice a year during peak growing seasons.
