This hand-picked dragonwell tea comes from Hanngzou, China, in the Zhejiang Province. A famous and much-loved tea, Lung Ching Tea is unfermented, with heat applied after picking to halt the natural fermentation process. The result is a wonderfully complex tea that boasts a beautiful green colour, subtle aromas and a rich taste.
Lung Ching tea leaves are grown in the West Lake region, where ideal climate and soil conditions result in high-quality teas. Leaves are hand-picked during early spring, just before they reach full maturity, before being heated to halt the oxidation process, preserving the natural flavours.
The flat, slender leaves of dragonwell teas are bright green in colour and reveal a fresh, nutty aroma and a smooth taste with a hint of sweetness and slightly roasted notes.
