This blend of Indonesian Java and Brazilian Santos creates a wonderfully strong coffee that's full of flavour, but without any bitterness. Java, or Kopi Jawa as Indonesians refer to it, is typically a strong, slightly sweet coffee, and it works wonders here with the light body and low acidity of Santos. The balance of flavours creates an indulgent blend that's best enjoyed as an espresso, but can also be used in a cafetiere or as a base for your favourite filter coffees.

Customers praised this blend for its "strong without being bitter" profile and "lovely intense flavour." Many noted excellent depth and smoothness, ideal for espressos, cappuccinos, and Americanos. Very similar to Old Brown Java but without the noticeable smokey taste as well as less obvious oil on the beans. Ground my usual 18g in a 36ml pour which produced a nice crema and a decent overall taste. A marked difference to my last purchase (Italian coffee) although that was to be expected. I settled on a 15g grind and a 30ml pour for a cappuccino as the roast is dark and can stand less beans for a double shot. However, this blend is quite bitter if taken as an espresso so really needs tempering with milk. A decent brew if you like a strong coffee without the overpowering nastiness that can occur with dark roasts - think Old Brown Java has the edge though.

Java Santos espresso or Americano are both great to enjoy for a really full flavour with sweetness too. Wonderful aroma and intensity without bitterness; when I drink once it's cooled somewhat and in no hurry to arrive, sadly, and sip the last drop in the cup.
This has quite possibly become my second favorite, next to Aribica Supremo. Lovely flavour

This is perfect for me, it has a richness and flavour without acidity. great for that morning latte or cappuccino, but best at a lunchtime espresso.
Makes a decent Canadanano (formally known as an Americano) I like my coffee black with no sugar or milk, strong but not like an espresso. This fits my taste.

Flavour not strong enough for me
After trying quite a few different coffees to find one for both espressos and an Aero press, this has become my favourite. Strong flavour without bitterness and a good depth.
Used in my espresso machine, makes a good americano or espresso but I felt it lacked the depth of something like a monsoon malabar.
Arrived slightly earlier than than stated which was a big bonus. I ordered whole beans as we have a bean to cup machine, on opening our coffee the smell was gorgeous. Fresh coffee beans that tasted even better. Will certainly be ordering again. Thank you so much
Slightly bitter edge, but otherwise lovely.
I normally buy Santos and Java coffee on line from Whittards but recently had trouble with an order so decided to try to source a similar tasting coffee elsewhere. Your blend has a great taste - rich without being bitter. The cafetiere grind was finer than Whiitards version but works well. The most impressive fact was the good value of your coffee. The same great taste of this blend at a significantly lower price. I am happy to switch to your company for our regular supplies.

This is my go to coffee. It’s strong without being overpowering. It’s rounded, very smooth and there is no bitterness at all. It’s one I can drink all day.
When I run out and have to buy locally, I really notice the difference.
