Our mild Viennese blend is a premium South American bean, with added fig to give the coffee a very distinctive aroma and taste. South American coffees make up approximately 45% of the world's total coffee exports, with about a third being grown in Brazil where an ideal climate makes for excellent Arabica beans. A large proportion of South American beans are dry processed, whereby entire cherries are cleaned and placed in the sun for an extended period of time, before being graded, sorted and packed. Our Viennese blend is ideal for filter coffees and cafetieres, and can enjoyed all though the day. Fig is added to pre-ground options only; whole bean orders include our Viennese blend only, without fig. If you'd like to add fig to your own grind, or indeed add additional fig to your liking for our pre-ground options, you can order Roasted and Ground Fig.

Customers praised this smooth, mellow coffee with fig seasoning, describing it as "robust yet smooth" with "delicious smoothness" and vanilla undertones. Many noted it's increasingly hard to find elsewhere. Most loved the low acidity and lack of bitterness. Some felt it could be stronger or wanted more fig flavor, with a few finding it too weak or expensive.

Viennese Coffee used to be a very popular style, but so many coffee houses have stopped stocking it: I wonder if people know what they are missing?
It is a robust yet smooth coffee, with the addition of fig creating delicious smoothness unmatched by any other. But if there is one thing about this style of coffee that is unforgettable, it is the aroma. Rich coffee with vanilla undertones ...... gorgeous.

I searched everywhere for Vienese blend with fig and found it with coffee direct very pleased with taste and packaging is easy with the clever re-seal.

I have been ordering Viennese coffee for years. It is simply the only coffee I enjoy. Rich and mellow, the flavours are superb. I have recently ordered roasted fig to add and it gives it that added depth. No other coffee comes close. I even pack a bag when going on holiday.
Still evaluating this, but Really pleasant coffee, reminds me of one I had years ago; same sort of blend, however I may go for the Swiss decaff as decaff now suits me better.
Best tasting breakfast coffee you can buy I’ve been buying it for years first introduced to me when I was working in Paris. Salon used to serve this morning coffee to the clients they loved it so they ended up having it all day.

Viennese Coffee is a taste that is memorably different from any other, with the added fig creating a vanilla like aroma that to my mind is one of the most appetizing of all coffees. It creates a smoothness that many types of coffee can only dream of; and whilst it is quite delicious on its own, it can also be used to create an especially tasty and rounded blend.
The problem that I had for many years was that fewer and fewer merchants sold it as a blend, indeed my most regular supplier stopped trading in recent times which was a sad day indeed.
But Coffee Direct came to my rescue, supplying a particularly fine version of the Viennese Coffee Blend; and one that it is definitely worth writing home about!
