Harar Longberry, an arabica coffee grown in the region of Harar in Ethiopia's Eastern Highlands, is perhaps the oldest bean still being produced. Grown at around 2,000m above sea level, these sun-dried beans come in a distinct pointed shape and golden colour, and are sorted and processed almost entirely by hand by skilled and knowledgeable workers. Harar beans can be divided in three categories, and it is the Longberry variety that is both the largest, and considered to be the finest. When roasted, the beans reveal wonderful flavours of fruity wine and mocha, and create superb, full-bodied drinks. Our Harar Longberry is a mild coffee that carries a medium acidity, making it perfect for cafetiere use and for all your favourite filter coffees. We tried this to see if we could find an alternative to the exceptional Matari from Coffee Direct. Ther Harrar Longberry is excellent too!

Superb coffee as usual- one of our firm favorites over many years. Tastes 'Ethiopian' if that's not a silly thing to say. Packaging and service great- never any problems.

More than a cup of flavour!

This has been my favourite coffee for years. With its smooth, full taste it's perfect for any time of day. It's not a particularly complicated flavour and has a low acidity so you can allow yourself more than a cup!

Exquisite blend

As usual, good processing and shipping of orders with no issues. Beans arrived safe and well packaged.
Enjoy coffee and fond of trying out different blends / origins. Body found to be on the medium side but flavoursome and, to my palette, a degree of fruitiness with a pleasant lingering aftertaste.

This is a new one for me and doesn't disappoint. Berry & fruit like acidity, rich aroma, and a heavy body with an aroma of blueberries or blackberries:-)

Harrar Longberry Coffee

Mischievous fresh tanginess with hint of greenness. Quite refreshing - rather similar to Zimbabwe Coffee but sufficiently different to make them seem cousins.

I blend it with Java

I blend it with Java and Blue Sumatra and it makes a really nice smooth coffee

Great pick-me-up

This coffee has moderate body and good depth of flavour with a refreshing acidity. It's a great mid-morning pick-me-up coffee.

Outstanding brew

Increadable flavours you can smell through the bag. 0 acidity even with a longer brewing time, some of the nicest coffee iv ever had, such a pure and fresh taste even people who drink coffee with milk [the wrong way to drink coffee lol] will enjoy this black its that smooth.

I have been ordering this coffee on this site for a long time now. I have never been disappointed. It is always fresh and packed well. It arrives very quickly. I have a subscription order which allows me to delay or bring forward a delivery. This is very useful as I would hate to run out. I highly recommend this service and the excellent coffee.
